UF Researcher Receives T1D Grant To Study Mitochondria

Jing Chen, MD, PhD, researcher at the UF Diabetes Center of Excellence, will receive a $300,000 research grant to study Lymphocyte Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Type 1 diabetes, allowing further understanding of how mitochondria function affects two important cellular players in T1D: T cells and beta cells.
