World Diabetes Day

Join the UF Diabetes Institute and the College of Public Health and Health Professions for a World Diabetes Day event.
Opening remarks will be delivered by the American Diabetes Association’s 2016 President of Medicine & Science, Desmond Schatz, MD. Ronny Bell, Ph.D., will give a keynote address on “Challenges & Opportunities in Achieving Diabetes Health Equity”. Dr. Ronny Bell is the Chair of Public Health at Eastern Carolina University and is a leading expert in health disparities in type 2 diabetes. Florida Surgeon General and Secretary of the Florida Department of Health, Celeste Philip, MD, MPH, will be a special honored guest.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. This event is worth 1 AMA CME credit.
Guests can park in the Commuter Lot on Gale Lemerand Drive, which is a 10-minute walk to the HPNP building.
