Congratulations to Edward Phelps, Holger Russ, Allison Bayer, and Todd Brusko on receiving an NIH Research Project Grant (R01)!
This grant will support research by Drs. Phelps and Russ on immune tolerance for beta cell replacement to treat Type 1 diabetes. “The idea is that this therapy would one day allow people with Type 1 diabetes to make their own insulin and not have to use a pump or injections,” explained Phelps.
