Keshav Motwani Awarded Goldwater Scholarship

Keshav Motwani, an undergraduate fellow in the Brusko Laboratory with the UFDI, was one of 396 students nationwide selected for the 2020 Goldwater Scholarship. The Goldwater Scholarship is the most prestigious undergraduate award in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering. It is awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding work in these areas and encourages them to continue their career paths. Within the Brusko Lab, Keshav works on applying machine learning and bioinformatic approaches to T-cell receptor repertoires with a goal of developing classification tools to help with the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes (T1D) and understanding the sequence-level motifs that are associated with T1D.
