Publications

The University of Florida Diabetes Center of Excellence has ongoing funding from the National Institutes of Health/NIDDK, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, and other private funding agencies. Current total annual research funding exceeds $5 million. Cumulative scholarship produced by Diabetes Center faculty well exceeds 1100 papers, chapters and books.
The research efforts at the UF Diabetes Center of Excellence is conducted by a team of researchers in both the clinical setting and in laboratories. The collaboration of clinicians and researchers, together with health professionals, forges a unique program of diabetes research, treatment, and education at the University of Florida. Due to the continually changing field of research, there is a continual inflow of new findings and subsequent publications released each day.
