Meet Our Patients

During a recent visit to UF, Annalise Mozer shares a laugh with internationally recognized diabetes researcher Michael Haller, MD ‘00, an associate professor of pediatrics at the UF College of Medicine. Mozer has traveled to UF five times this year to participate in a Type 1 diabetes clinical trial led by Haller. Photo by Jesse S. Jones.

Each year, nearly 10,000 patient visits occur through UF Health diabetes clinics.

Providing access to a comprehensive diabetes care team is our top priority. Our pediatric and adult provider network teams oversee the care of more than 1,000 children, youth and adults from across the United States and its territories, living with manifestations of the disease. In 2013, one out of every four adult patients admitted to a UF Health hospital had a diabetes diagnosis among their clinical issues.

UF Health is committed to offering passionate, personalized care to you and your family. Our board-certified physicians and diabetes educators focus on offering individualized treatment options and provide access to some of the most advanced diabetes-related technologies and resources available. In addition, our team is also dedicated to promoting awareness about diabetes and treatment, and enriching the knowledge base of patients through education and research.
