For Professionals

The UF Diabetes Center of Excellence provides a series of professional education opportunities for health care professionals who treat patients with diabetes. We start of the year in January with Diabetes Care, a day-long educational program that covers all aspects of diabetes managment. We offer a series of diabetes-related seminars taught by certified diabetes educators where nurses can learn about diabetes managment and new technologies while earning continuing education credits.

If you are a primary care provider who needs to refer a patient to our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program, please review the instructions on the tab to the left.

If you are a school nurse who cares for students with diabetes, we’ve created a list of diabetes resources also found to the left.

Be sure to check back regularly as this is a new site and will continue to grow as a resource for you.
