7th Annual WDD Blue Circle Photo Contest

Sponsored by the University of Florida Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes Research Program

UntitledEach year, the International Diabetes Federation sponsors World Diabetes Day (WDD) on November 14th — an event that engages millions of people worldwide in diabetes advocacy and awareness.

The WDD international logo is a blue circle, which exacts a global unity in response to the growing incidence of the disease worldwide. The blue border of the circle reflects the color of the sky and the flag of the United Nations. Together, our combined strength is the key element which makes this campaign so special.

The 7th Annual World Diabetes Day “Blue Circle” Photo Contest encourages individuals, families, friends, and coworkers to be involved in producing a unique blue circle creation to raise awareness for this disease. You can wear it, paint it, film it, pose next to it, involve friends and classmates!  Most importantly, have fun!

This is one of the most well received activities we host, and we want you to be a part of it this year! Grab your camera phone! Entry is free, and the contest runs from now through November 14.

To enter, download the official WDD Photo Entry Form and  Photo/Video Consent Release Form. Please note: all individuals pictured in photo submission must sign a release form.

Send completed forms along with entry to: lylessp@peds.ufl.edu or to Shannon Lyles, 1701 SW 16th Ave Bldg A, Gainesville, FL 32608
