World Diabetes Day “Blue Circle” Photo Contest
Sponsored by the University of Florida: Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes Research Program
We want to thank everyone who submitted entries to the 4th Annual World Diabetes Day Photo Contest to promote awareness about diabetes. As you browse the entries below, you will see that the pictures submitted show proof of that commitment. With so many excellent entries, the judges had a difficult time choosing the winners. The pictures selected for special recognition (1st through 3rd) were chosen based on creativity and the ability of the picture to convey how the entrant advocates for diabetes in his or her day-to-day life.

Wyatt Pogue, who is 12-years old (2nd from right), is a type 1 diabetic. His friends that he shoots archery with are left to right: Re Oliver, Ryan Oliver, Rebel Gryffin, Gan Gryffin, Cade Pogue, Josh Arthur and Joe Arthur.
Second Place Image: Jodi Touchton

Seth Touchton is in this picture. He is friends with people who have diabetes.
Third Place Image: Amina Kolenc
